A newcomer in the Food & Beverages outlet in Bugis Junction, located on the third level.

Crab Cakes [$12.90] Three potato fritters stuffed with large chunks of crab claw meat, deep fried and served with lemon. - Fresh crab meat. Great for eating crabs without hassle.


Risotto Balls [$8.90]Mozzarella-stuffed balls of risotto, breaded in panko then deep fried and served over of rich pumpkin puree. - Yummy cheesy. Deep fried, but not very oily. 




Truffle Fries [$6.90] Thick cut French fries seasoned with white truffle oil and topped with shaved truffles. - Rich tasting truffle, but at the same time not overpowering.



Owner of Platypus Kitchen, Nicholas Lin, introduced the food served and also the concept behind the restaurant. Platypus Kitchen "Believes that gourmet food should be affordable". Set lunch are priced below $20. Platypus Kitchen serves handmade pastas, risottos and Italian and Mediterranean dishes.

Currently Platypus Kitchen is having a 12 week promotion. Each week with a different free dish. Like Platypus Kitchen Facebook page and stay tune for the weekly promotions.


Momo-Lychee Ale [$9.90] Larger beer flavoured with fresh peach and lychee nectar, then garnished with mint sprigs and fresh lychees (2.9% ABV) - Beer cocktail. Tastes sweet. Great for people who like sweet tasting beer.


Smith's Ale [$9.90] Larger beer infused with green apples and lemons, then garnished with fresh  apples, lemon and passion fruit (2.9% ABV) - Beer cocktail. Taste like fizzy apple.




Saffron & Caviar Risotto [$19.90]Saffron infused risotto with char-grilled prawns and scallops then finished with sustainable caviar and fine herbs. - One of the popular dishes. This is really good. A must try.




Spicy ‘Diablo’ Crab & Prawn [$18.50] - Egg Tagliolini with prawns and crab claw tossed in a spicy egg sauce. - Another popular choice. Too spicy for me. But shiok. People who like spicy food would like this.




Squid-ink Scallop Ragout [$16.50] Squid-ink Tagliolini served with seared bay scallops in a light garlic-sauce. - A squid-ink pasta that does not stain your teeth.




Pressed Pork Belly [$19.90]Melt in your mouth pork belly served with braised apples, garden vegetables and a honey & clove apple glaze. - This is as good as it looks. Yummy juicy pork. The sauce is sweet, so for those who love sweet stuff, this is perfect.



Popping Candy Sea Salt Caramel Cake [$] - - The popping candy really pops! Just a small mouthful, and the candies came to live in your mouth. Addictive feeling.


After all the eating and photo taking, Nicholas presented us a cookbook Bachelor’s Banquet each. Written by Nicholas Lin and Adhika Maxi. Most of us got real excited and even queued up to get his autograph.
