Happy Birthday to Me

Received birthdat wishes from friends and family. Thank you and love you guys. I'm officially one year older. Ok.. It's pretty scary to get older these few years LOL..

*PS. I deliberately turned off the birthday notification on Facebook :P

My mummy was on her off day, so daddy called to see if we would like to have dim sum together. We brought them to 126 dim sum at sims avenue. First time going there for lunch. Pretty crowded but luckily we were able to get a table. Got a red packet from my parents.

Dinner with the hubby at Blue Garden Korean BBQ Buffet at Link Hotel. Pretty nice place but not really the best place for korean bbq buffet. Hubby gifted me a feet bubble spa massager. Hoping to ease my lousy painful ankles. So sweet. Love you lots.

A busy weekend

It has been a busy busy weekend. Pretty tired out even though I didn't really do much except walking here and there and eating nonstop. At the end of the day, got pretty δΈθˆ’ζœ haha weak.

Was surrounded by lots of balloons for the weekend. Cute eh?

Will be updating with more...

Chiso Zanmai

The requirements for the birthday dinner is, as usual, eat all you can: BUFFET. Haha... Went to Openrice's website to search. There were alot of choices. Picked Chiso Zanmai. Looks affordable and it's a Japanese buffet. *slurps* Eat all you can.... Sashimi~~ And the reviews looks not that bad...

It's located in the maze-alike, The Central at Clarke Quay, second level. We entered from the mall's main entrance and into this long white corridor.

And yep, it's the entrance/exit of the place. And we are greeted with, the dessert section. LOL. If you came in from this entrance, you have to walk further into the restaurant to the counter, which is in the middle of the restaurant, and next to an escalator. Another entrance from level one.

Here's the pricing. $29.99++ and $1.99++ per person for us. Friday dinner.

There's a promotion ongoing till 15th May 2013. Hokkaido Seafood Miso Hotpot for every 4 pax reservation. Sad, not valid for us. There are only two of us.........

Here's what they serve in May.

After making payment at the cashier, we are ushered to our table. And also this very confusing table card. We only understood it when we were about to leave. haha

First stop, Sashimi~~~ Thickly sliced sashimi salmon and tuna

Sampled a crab paste toufu, macha toufu, and a shrimp.

The fried section. I love the corn cream croquette =P

More fried skewers

Tonkatsu ramen. yummy

Self serve seafood tomato stew. The birthday man loves this lots.

Desserts counter.

Pretty tarts

The desserts I took. Love the La Opera cake. The one on the top left. Coffee chocolate cake

Self serve soft cone. Vanilla ice cream with toppings. Really like icecream with crispy cornflakes

Here is the other entrance, facing Singapore River, near to the road side. If you are thinking of having Japanese buffet here, ^^ go in via this entrance and save yourself from the possibility of getting lost. haha

Seoul Yummy

We went for his birthday lunch on Friday at Seoul Yummy in Bugis+. It's a open area on level 4 of the shopping mall. As we were there about 12 noon, there were not many people there. But as we were finishing, there were more and more people. Lunch crowd. Hee.. Glad we were there earlier.

We ordered lunch specials from the set menu. Every set menu comes with a cup of barley tea (choice of hot or iced and refillable) and side dishes. Top up $1 to upgrade the barley tea to Seoulyummy Iced Lemon Tea with Aiyu Jelly. Or top up $3.99 to upgrade the barley tea to Seoulyummy Iced Lemon Tea with Aiyu Jelly + 2 scoops of ice cream.

The birthday man. He's shy ^^ (Love)

Our drinks. One is the normal barley tea (iced) and the upgraded ice lemon tea. The ice lemon tea is abit too sweet. We were thinking maybe it's the Aiyu Jelly.

Fried Saba Fish with rice [$9.99] - The saba fish is quite big, alot of meat. Tastes great with the sweet sauce. Very worth the set meal price.

Seafood Kimchi Ra-myon [$11.99] - Spicy noodles. Lots of seafood inside too, with sotong, prawns, clams, egg and strips of korean rice cake. Very tasty soup and chewy noodles.

Here's the restaurant. Near to the escalator. Menu display on the big board with yummy photos. The place plays korean songs too. By the side there are some televisions looping Korean MVs. One of the screen kept one showing PSY's "Gentleman" MV. Haha..

Our meal did not exceed $30 and we had big filled tummies. Worth it.

Happy Birthday to the Man

He loves cheesecake. And since our stomachs are unable to fill one whole cake and one slice is a little too lonely, I decided to get two slices of the Goldmine Cheesecake from NYDC in Bugis Junction after work.

I'm glad he loves it. I love it too. YUMMY! *slurps*

Happy Birthday! I love you <3

See my previous post on the Bugis Junction food trail. We had Goldmine Cheesecake too.
