Hello Kitty Fairy Tales plushies - #5 The Singing Bone

The last Hello Kitty of the McDonald's Hello Kitty Fairy Tales plushies is officially on sale today. However, all Hello Kitty The Singing Bone plushies are sold out even before it's 12 midnight. Sold out on Wednesday before it is officially on sale on Thursday.

People started queueing on Wednesday evening before 8pm at outlets that are opened 24hours. And McDonald's decided to give out coupons to those in queue, the number of coupons = the number of dolls. So technically, even before it's 11pm, most of the places were already out of stock.

For those outlets that opens in the morning, people were already queuing outside the shop after McDonald's closed their doors to end the day. Overnight queuing.

We KPO went to Lot 1's outlet to check out the queue. Lot 1 outlet opens in the morning.

Yep, we attempted to queue. Reached at 1145pm. And we are FAR FAR FAR away from the counter. We queued for about 30minutes before going back. The staff came over to say no more coupons... and I think we are queued 200% behind the people with coupons. Sighs..

While queuing, we saw alot of things. Since the place we went to has drive thru, people were queuing in their cars, thus, leading to a traffic holdup. And since it's near a junction, can you imagine how dangerous it is? And cars are trying to cut into the queue by squeezing the inner lane cars. We saw alot of almost scratch kind. And best of all, there was a police car trying to go out... But stuck. Even when the policeman came down to make the 2nd lane cars go off, they did not move off, stubbornly waited for a chance to cut in...

Can you see the police car? It can't move. Even sounding the siren, nobody moved.

And... if you go McDonald's Singapore Facebook or ebay or anywhere, people are busy selling at high price from their loot. Damn irritating. But I love this... THUMBS UP for the prankster.

Sighs.... Now I'm one kitty short for the series. Just great.

Hello Kitty Fairy Tales plushies - #4 The Ugly Duckling

I am lucky to be able to get the forth Hello Kitty from the Hello Kitty Fairy Tales series: The Ugly Duckling. One more to complete the set.

McDonald's Singapore finally made an announcement last night. To limit each customer to buy a maximum of 4 Hello Kitty in one transaction. Like finally... Everyone was complaining about not able to buy the Hello Kitty: The Ugly Duckling as early at 7am in the morning in some places. And complaining WHY some people are able to buy 11 Hello Kitty: The Ugly Duckling at one go. I am one of the complaining people, as I am unhappy people snap up many Hello Kitty dolls for SALE, to earn profit.

While queuing to get my Hello Kitty: The Ugly Duckling, there are two late teen girls. Both queuing side by side in two counters. The one behind me, G1, was getting on my nerves.

G1: (very loudly) Every week come eat McD with you will get fat.
G2: (murmur reply)
G1: (very loudly) Do you think I should buy a Hello Kitty to sell? Online sell $20-$50. I can sell like $20. People will buy. You think I should?
G2: Don't want la. Like very jek ark
G1: (very loudly) I think I SHOULD (and she bought like 3?)

Please people. Some of us just wants to collect a series and not to sell for profit. And yet we have to queue and fight for a chance from you people. Keep this kind of thoughts to yourself. It's disheartening to see sellers have so many stocks while collectors are without one. And stop posting your kitty sale on McDonald's Facebook page. Go somewhere else. McDonald's Singapore had already requested you guys to stop doing such a thing from the earlier kitties.

One more to go. The Singing Bone. Hopefully I am able to get this.

Hello Kitty Fairy Tales plushies - #3 The Frog Prince

Today is the launch of the third Hello Kitty The Frog Prince from the Hello Kitty Fairy Tales plushies.

I've gotten mine after visiting two different McDonalds. The McDonalds website kinda lied to us that the outlet at Trade Hub 21 is opened 24hours. But when we were there, the notice put up told us a different story. They are only opened from 11am to 8pm. Maybe it's time for them to update accurate information on their website. And we were not the only ones cheated of our time.

But in the end, we found our Frog Prince. And they didn't provide curry sauce for my nuggets or any sauce for everything... sighs...

It's the day of the week again! Thursday! This week, McDonalds Singapore is selling the second Hello Kitty Fairy Tales plushies, Little Red Riding Hood.

I'm not a true blue (or should it be pink?) Hello Kitty fan, but when Mcdonald's once a while launches a series of collectible, I would always be drawn to a few of the plushies from the series. I like the Lion kitty from the Wizard of Oz. The Ugly Duckling kitty looks cute too. Little Red Riding Hood too... All so cute! So tempting~
