Disappointed with Deals.com.sg, its merchant and Aramex

My hubby got me a surprise gift from Deals.com.sg for Valentines Day. It's a bouquet of small teddy bears. What comes as a bigger surprise was that despite the deal being titled with the intention to sell as a Valentines' Day gift, the bouquet did not come on the actual day. I only received it 12 days later. Delivery, and overall experience aside, I love the bouquet. It's very sweet.

My hubby purchased the bouquet online via this deal site, Deals.com.sg and indicated in the remarks to state that the delivery is to deliver to my office address on 14th February. But to his horror, on the actual day, I did not receive any bouquet and he felt sorry to me. He called Deals on 14th February and the answer he got from the phone call was "The delivery will not be taking place on 14th February and the delivery is done in batches and will be send out during the period of February. And despite putting the preferred delivery date, it does not confirm the delivery will be on that day. "

A deal, titled as "Valentines Day Idea", meaning to get customers to buy the item as a Valentines Day gift, isn't it meant to let the recipient receive it on the actual day?

This is the deal published on Deals.com.sg.

My hubby sent an unsatisfactory experience email to Deals.com.sg on the 15th February.

And Deals.com.sg replied the email on the 19th February saying,

Here's the tracking history of the the entire process my gift went through. The customer service said that the courier attempted to send on the 15th February 6:51pm, but indicated that no one was around. Sad to burst their bubble, but I was working overtime on 15th February and only left after 7pm. And there are other colleagues around even after I left. Even so on the 18th February. Both days I was working late.

The tracking history

My hubby replied on the same day, highlighting that we are not asking for refund, but we just need answers and the item to be DELIVERED. It was already 5 days past Valentines Day.

And in the second reply email, Deals.com.sg pushed everything to the delivery company. I understand that it's out of their control after items are dispatched to the delivery company. But still, the entire process was horrible. I only wanted things to be fixed and get my gift that my hubby had bought for me. I gotten my gift 12 days later and Aramex is the delivery company.

This is my first negative post. I do not wish to post negative blogposts, at most, I would just not blog about it. But we were so disappointed with the entire process that I just wish to share. Maybe it's not really anyone's fault, but, I still feel disappointed.

After this incident, and the incident with the Donut Maker deal purchase (View post - to be updated), I do not think that I would want to buy any more things from Deals.com.sg. I am just too disappointed.

My Valentines Day

It started with a sweet hidden presents exchange. I hid mine in a blanket (it's original position is rumpled, at the end of the bed), and he kind of jumped onto the bed and the legs hit something hard. Mine is hidden under the pillow. All hidden in parts of the bed.

I love my present alot~ Thanks! <3

HER to HIM

HIM to HER

Valentines day is also the day we start work. After work, we went to Ssikkek BBQ near Outram Park MRT. Luckily we made reservations. I was being kiasu, and made him make reservations. The other time he went was a weekday lunch, hence the one over the phone told him that there won't be alot of people, so it was ok to just walk in. But on this evening, there was already a queue snaking before we reach.

The entrance

We were give a table that is joined with another couple. Seriously the girl next to me has got big attitude problem. We just got to the table, and I was standing next to my chair. At the same time, the girl wants to go out. She can't just say excuse me, but push the chair roughly to aside with a loud "TSK". Duh... Open your mouth girl to talk.... And see the situation. I'm not purposely trying to block your way.

There are many TVs around the place, all showing different K-Pop MVs. But there's only one audio. Also K-Pop. Haha.. Audio don't match videos. We ate lots of meat in lettuce. The lettuce is not as fresh as the one we had before in Bornga. Overall a satisfying meal.

Self service

Side dish, sushi. Looks ugly, but taste YUMMY

Meat meat meat

It costs $52 for the two of us. We were smelling like smoke and food when we left the place. Even after finishing our meal, there are still people coming in for BBQ Korean food. Quite worth for the amount to pay.

The day would have ended brilliantly if the second part of my present came. He told me that I was supposed to have received a bouquet today. But after calling the merchant, the reply he was given was... the item was to be dispatched in the month of February. Not the actual day. What rubbish reply. Disappointed with them...

I was shopping with girlfriend and we saw THIS. Oh My God.. Cuteness!! It's a Samantha Thavasa bag with Winnie the Pooh doll. There are alot of colours for the bag, and there are three designs for the dolls. Besides Winnie the Pooh, there are also other Disney characters dolls that are on sale. This bag cost $515.

I went online and found out more about the bag.
