Lunch at A for Arbite

Today is the last working day for one of our colleagues. All the BEST to B, it was great to have the chance to be able to work with you.

We went for lunch at A for Arbite nearby, recommended by a colleague. I didn't know that there is such a place here. haha.. It's located next to the Aliwal Arts Centre.

The place has a casual classroom feel, with blackboard for its menu, lego bricks around the counter and "paper" plane above us.

We were there around 12.30pm, and there's a lunch crowd, but not fully filled up yet.

Eggs Benedict [$14.90] - Poached eggs, Black Forest ham, Yuzu hollandaise on toasted brioche served with fresh greens

Here's my order. Pretty normal but affordable all day breakfast

Chicken Ensemble [$25.90] - Deep fried roulade of chicken thigh stuffed with brie, Black Forest ham and spinach with condiments of the day and porcini wine sauce.

Colleague A's order. Oops.. It's blurred.

Smoked Duck and Porcini Fettuccine [$25.90] - Slices of smoked duck breast, porcini mushrooms and baby spinach in a cream sauce.

Colleague B's order. She didn't realise is pasta from the menu.

New Zealand Ribeye [$29.90] - 300gm chilled New Zealand ribeye, condiments of the day, porcini red wine sauce

Colleague P's order. He says it's pretty normal

Pan Seared Australian Barramudi [$28.90] - In a miso, honey and oat crust, served with a tomato jam and condiments of the day

Colleague Y's order. Looks yummy eh?

Overall comments were that the food were pretty normal tasting. But quite a cool place to hangout, it's bright and spacious, and the service crew are friendly. Total bill of $163.90 for five of us.

There is another location at Serangoon Gardens, Arbite Serangoon Gardens. [66 Serangoon Garden Way]
